mangarecommendations asked: I love Beck so much. I remember when I read it I simply could not stop! I don't think I have ever anticipated the release of a volume of manga as Beck's last volume. It was pure paper gold.

I simply am ashamed that I waited years to actually finally decide on reading it. I thought that it would be empty without music, but I was completely wrong. The brain is a magical thing. It fills everything in for you. :D

Alright, you guys remember what I said with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann? “If there was ever a series I’d be recommending that’d you’d have to check out, it’d be this?” Or something along those lines. I lied.
You see up until recently, I’ve only seen the Beck: (MCS) anime. Just literally yesterday I started reading the manga. It is 103 chapters spanning across 34 volumes. Since it was published in a monthly magazine, the chapters are longer, thus less chapters in each volume.
I can honestly say without a doubt [BECK: (MCS) IS THE SECOND BEST MANGA I HAVE EVER READ] and I’m not sure if you’ve seen my list of manga series I’ve read (and that is far from complete, trust me), but this series, is definitely one that was waiting to break out.

Btw: here’s the image source

So I Took Last Week Off.

Starting classes real soon so I won’t be able to be on as much. (Boohoo!)

HOWEVER. I have two new series that I’m sure some of you guys will love.

Now, I’m sure the majority of my followers have watched K-On, and love it. The moe, the music, the Azunyaaaan (My personal favorite character :3). But I think you guys need to listen to a REAL music anime. That’s right, I’m bringing out Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad. Despite, having the name of the american artist, the anime/manga is the story about a punk/alternative band that starts from scratch thanks to the lead guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, along with Rhythm Guitarist and vocalist Tanaka Yukio.

Music from several different artists were used in this series and have become some of my favorite songs over time. It’s really easy to overlook this series, but when you give it a chance you will not get disappointed. So look forward to my postings of videos, music, and art of the series!

So with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann I saw a lot of you were willing to give the action genre a good fighting chance. So this time around I give you Hajime no Ippo. Now, let me start by saying the first few episodes will hit everyone as slow, a typical thing when a new seires starts. It might not hook (no pun intended) the people who just give it a first glance, especially since it’s an old art style.

But listen to me when I say the action scenes do not disappoint EVER. The fighting scenes are literally so amazing, I remember cheering for my favorite fighter. Now since I haven’t said the storyline yet, I’m hoping I got you guys interested? It starts out your typical shounen style series; meek, shy boy gets bullied, and a guy helps him out. Makunouchi Ippo has lived a below average life, helping his mother run a fishing shop while having little friends and getting bullied most of his life.

However, one day Mamoru Takamura steps in to save him from some bullies. What Ippo doesn’t know is that watching Takamura take out these guys using boxing sparks a flame inside him. He instantly becomes hooked on boxing to become someone strong and asks Takamura to train him. What Takamura doesn’t know however, is that having worked carrying heavy loads of ice and equipment, Ippo has the strength of a demon, and the potential to become a fierce boxer.

Look forward to the series!
